Nancy O'Dell's career in broadcasting began as a journalist and anchor for WPDE-TV Myrtle Beach in South Carolina. In later years, she was employed by WCBD as a morning anchor and crime reporter. Her reporting of the ineffective responses of police officers in response to DUI instances in Charleston resulted in an investigation conducted by the State Law Enforcement Division, which resulted in a new policy from state officials regarding DUI cases. According to the Associated Press awarded Ms. O'Dell her Best Report of the year Award for all South Carolina media. O'Dell was then employed by the Miami-based NBC station WTVJ-TV as an investigative journalist, before she joined Access Hollywood in the role of co-anchor for the weekend. O'Dell in addition to anchoring the main show for Access Hollywood, also appears on NBC News Today as well Dateline NBC. She's been a reporter for the Academy Awards The Emmys The Grammys The Golden Globe Awards and co-hosted numerous pre-show arrivals show to The Emmys And The Golden Globes.
